A Moment of Unforgettable Clarity – The Women’s Championship – ACM Vs Bey Priestly

You can add another date to the list of great women’s matches –

3/7/2020.

A 6-match card with a rare three match main event.

But the match everybody will be talking about is ACM – the 17 year hold high school phenom vs Bey Priestly – already considered the one of best of the Gajin (the Japanese now use the word Gaokojin strangely enough) female wrestlers.

The way we got here is strange enough.

In the first place – we didn’t have the titles ready, that was a big error that was later fixed.

Then came the match where Bey Priestly lost to a very game Reyna Isis – Bey was already the provisional WWWA champion before – and she was going to fight the winner – of the Stardom Mega Tourney.

It came down to three wrestlers – ACM, Shozhi Blackheart, and Tessa Blanchard.

ACM beat both, leading her, Blanchard and Blackheart to be the next contenders for the Stardom Universal Women’s World Championship.

Then, there was another delay – announcement of a new contract – were more Stardom Stars were coming in. ACM and Bey Priestly were in the lineup along with many others.

Then, things would seem to be ready for the upcoming PPV, but the announcement came a bit too late – plus they would not be abele to make the G1 Supercard show, due to the virus outbreak.

Too many bad breaks indeed.

Management, then decided to give the fans a out – they were going to do a special show – not a supercard, not the one-hour show – not a PPV – a show focused on crowning a champion.

The first – only true Universal Woman’s Championship -a long time coming for management and a long time coming for a lot of these women.

For many years, there was one women’s title – but many others that conferred status. There was one dealing with the former Playboy years of Titan Productions. There was one back that was the biggest title in the world. To hold it was to become the best in the world. So many great names held it. But the business changed, People tastes changed.

No longer fighters – more models and starlets and… semi porn stars… to some there isn’t anything wrong with either three. But sometimes the best laid plans of an ejaculatoroum can only confer so much and produce very little (maybe a stronger immune system sure but then).

In a world where women never earned actual earned respect outside of the superficial respect just being born into the world as a woman (which has many dangerous connotations to be fair) a place where one earn respect via a championship – into the eyes of men and women is something brand new and something to be cherished.

So, an announcement was made. March 7th of 2020 – in the Hall. Too many matches as of recent times have fell so flat in the hall. Many major events have taken place here – standing room only – 5000 for decades before Tokyo Dome and other venues took over.

But in recent years – the crowds were difficult – most of the matches that day – even despite the fact there were virus problems and issues to the same effect – were hard to swallow – despite great performances from Utami Hashibashita, and Death Yama San.

By the time of the Tag Match however – it was going to be another magical night – and didn’t you feel it too?

As both entered the ring… things felt different – a night that some say will never be forgotten.

The first part of the match set the tone for the rest – Bey was going to try to win by Queens Ocean Bomb – which is like the JO Queens Bomb of Mayami Toyota fame. ACM, just like she did with Blanchard, used enough of her genius to keep Bey off-balance.

Towards the latter part – the match went outside the ring. They both get counted out. We have the end of the match?

Not so – we have been delayed too long.

Yet one more delay to put this belt on a women’s waist, this delay – many people don’t consider this entertainment work worthy of respect – the creepy men leer, one night in a love hotel for some one that can throw me around that bed sheet – Asuka knows all too well, paraded both by choice and by chance before her undefeated streak in the NXT and main divisions of Titan Industries Brand Entertainment (WWE).

Asuka as Kana kicked men around, not worthy of her, not worthy of touching her – too weak – even Minuru Suzuki who couldn’t care a lick, wanted to know what’s up with her?

Nor respect from the women who don’t remember a day of respect outside of birth and youth – who look to Dragon’s Gate to fulfill fantasies and fetishes from bishonin and K-Pop rejoinders, strong men dancing, flying – the same love hotel calls. This time you’re the strongest capable dudes Japan has to offer – throw me…

And many have heard the stories – the sad stories – the sad realities. Too young, retired too young, broken too young, leered too long – loved too early – every end and every way in with each gender… This belt – Morio Smith knew the curse of that belt and as you see – his son knows it too. It comes – like the rose of William Blake poems – its fleeting… its beauty could not be delayed.

And Management said, today – today of all days – as the virus comes, her raven wings shout death to the age of the old order, death comes in memes of Coof, conspiracy of crows -murder of the markets and factories, that were taken from one land – of plenty that horded it, never giving a chance to those that helped build the land of plenty – now lost in drugs and prostitution on the sly and not so sly and now accepted parlance of relationships.

We must have a champion – a real champion – not the fakes – not the 16 year old crying of a future that may never come or another 19 year old trying to say the other is crying wolf – but could a slight 17 year old high school girl be the real champion for the high school girls not caught up in the wars adults play on them and their own? Could she be the one talent – Queens Quest to become the queen of this wrestling world?

The second match starts after a thirty second break.

It starts off faster – And ACM pins, and ACM kicks, And she twists, She stomps, as hard as she can to the Gajin who will not give her man a child yet – Osprey, many call the best JR Heavyweight since the age of Jericho, Benoit, Malenko, Guerrero…begs on twitter – give me a child you Minx, the ring is on the finger – let us not wait – it comes – the raven.

Bey Survives. Doesn’t Give in. Crowd, never into singles matches – not in this venue – you don’t get high marks here – is on their feet.

ACM gets her in a point where she will win the title by pin. This Backdrop will do it,

ACM is too young for this level of fighting… but desperation needs her to get to the top rope… no.

The Crowd is miffed but they clap for ACM. Their hero of this day – and for many days to come.

When April rolls around and hopefully – the raven passes and doesn’t hurt the houses of the prophets of the land of the rising sun, ACM, Utami, and Momo will fight to get their 6 women title. The crowd will be cheering them on. They seen what ACM can do, and they hope that one day she will hold the title that so many looks towards.

For Priestly, its conformation that she is the Top Gajin. She will have many challenges for the title – Blackheart is next on the list – and what may some say will become the biggest match in decades for women’s wrestling in America – Blanchard will face off Priestly and it will be madness personified, who will become truly the best in the world.

For whomever wins, the road doesn’t end. – 5 new number one competitors come in the fray when the second-year women’s league starts. 32 women in 4 blocks with the top three going through – the winner and those she beat will become the next 5 number one contenders.

In this world – and anywhere beyond.
