I know I haven’t updated much in the last several months on Retrocade Sports but I have been busy for the last several weeks.
Now I can tell you the reasons why.
Retrocade Sports have several announcements, the first one being that a new part of Retrocade Sports is open, called the Republic of Sports – a blog that covers sports and wrestling (at times) – with a focus of sports media and wrestling media.
Not to be outdone, a new show has been set up on the same page – a radio show also titled Republic of Sports that deals with similar topics. Republic of Sports one major rule is that the show and the blog only talk about the sports and not the betting angles and so on. I do not believe in Gambling as is. In a future post and subsequent episode of the Republic of Sports, their will be a discussion about this – concerning the money around this.
There is a plan to do one weekly show, and several specials. The hope is to build to ninety-minute episodes during the NFL Season, which will go between one hour to two hours on the weeks after the NFL season. The show will have three, thirty-minute segments during the NFL season (NFL Preview/Review, Wrestling Results*, and other sports media news and notes.
What does this mean for Retrocade Sports? Not much will change. However certain wrestling topics will be on both sites and some posts will be one site and not the other and vice versa.
Dealing with that and issues with Fire Pro Wrestling World – I haven’t had a chance because of personal issues to get back to scheduling matches and so on. That being said – when it does come back there will be massive changes. The first one being that a lot of wrestlers and promotions will change names and stables. Some have returned and some have retired. The PPV’s and other shows that I mentioned? There are some changes to this.
The first major change is that the shows will live (That’s Fire Pro Wrestling World Friday, Fire Pro Wrestling World Thursday Night – the Upcoming Fire Pro Wrestling World Storm, Umbra, Umbra Evolution, America and Tokon.), the PPV’s and Special Supercards will be done by delay. The reason being is simple – There is going to be an upgrade for the system and their will be a less problems going forward. That’s the only reason why I can do the latter live and the others will be delayed. But this is on other things falling into place. I don’t want to make any promises. But Late September I hope will be the date that things will get back into place. If not, there will be other solutions.
Hopefully, the world would get this head on right so that Retrocade Sports can get back into doing its job – speaking of which – because the supercards and PPV’s will be on a delay – the sites that those shows will be available will expand. More details about that soon.
The first episode of the Republic Of Sports Radio Show will air on Both the Retrocade Sports website and the Republic of Sports Substack on October 11th 2021. However, the blog for the Republic of Sports is available now – and Retrocade Sports is still up and running.
