A outrageous and dastardly move was done- instead of a World Championship Match, Omega changed his mind, and stated he was not going to have the Championship match, convincing Management to change the main event - Management relented but they added that if the match ended with any one of them pinned, a future main event championship match will take place.
That didn't happen.
So now, we go to the top five from the year two league and tournament for the IWGP Heavyweight Title. Great challenges abound and the wrestlers look ready to get at Omega and the Title.
If he is able to survive these challenges, by the time he Reaches Ishii, the latter and the last two must beat him...Twice yet again. This is not a easy task, as seen by what happened with the Tag Team Titles. Mr Cobra and Trevor Darius has held the titles off and on for nearly 3 years, with only the Von Erichs and Jerry Teck and Allen Hawkins winning these belts, they lost to another Heel Team, the Dirty Dawgs.
Speaking of Tag Teams, there isnt a bad one anywhere in the whole world, and its going to be a amazing sprint of matches for anyone that holds this titles. There are at least 64 teams of two with 12 in the upper tier that can win the titles, Mr Darius and Mr Cobra has beaten 6 of these tag teams, and came close to winning the 7th. Will they be back again to fight for the titles? Not likely as they have to deal with the Tax Man and Managements fines for illegal biting in the act of making a competitor bleed.
Of the many tag teams, one that has come out of the Contra Unit is the armed forces of the Sendai Death Squadron, soon to make a appearance. After what one has seen from Mags Crugger and his manhandling of Alex Hammersone, there is no telling how far Contra will go.
Cinderella League Postponed
The sad news however, comes from the Cinderella League and Tournament. With the pandemic a issue, one of the members has the virus, and will be out - per management rules, for three months. This has put a massive strain on the determination on who will become the next five number one contenders. Management and Convoke have made a change and the changes are as follows.
There will be two brackets. 16 women 4 women to a division. 12 are from stardom, 3 already chosen, 1 open slot.
Over two days (April 10 and April 30th) all matches from the first bracket will be played. Those twelve that make it in, enter the tournament phase. The same for the second bracket, but with major differences. The Champions will be there yes, however the rest will be chosen by other factors. This will be a much longer bracket.
The 24 women will then face off by lottery. They will be placed in a box and the matches will be determinant by both die (higher than three - A Bracket, Lower than three, B Bracket and Exactly Three, Coin Flip). Each match will lead into the top five that make it to the semi finals and the finals. (That's The Winner, Second Runner Up, Third Runner Up, Forth Place, Runner Up from their own side of the bracket)
The next time the woman's championship will be held because of this delay - is October at the Earliest and January 2022 at the latest. This was done to give enough space for the IWGP Jr Heavyweight Championship (Now held by Leo Pascal) and to prevent any more delays, the future of the league play will be discussed in the major meeting by All Out 3 in September of 2021.
When will he get over his cockiness?
Speaking of the Shocking Win by Leo Pascal, what keeps Dark Black Man away from greatness is the shock losses at horrendous times. His Brother, Dark Heart, has lost hard, and rarely have a bad loss. This was as horrendous of a match you can get from Ron. He was nonchalant - thinking this was a easy win. He plays up to the competition and he has taken the best wrestlers on the planet to the limit and back again. Management will obviously throw the best wrestlers at Leo Pascal and he might find a way to hold on to this title, but do not be shocked if this title goes hot potato for months on end. This was Dark Black Man's best opportunity to get out of his brothers lingering shadow and become maybe just as good as him. It may be too late - If Dark Heart gets his chance he will take it - win and hold ON longer than three title Matches, because since he was in he was in his late 20's he has been the best in the world. He is about to prove it again if he gets the chance.
The Sons of Wrestling Make Their Mark in Singles Competition
The Never Open Heavyweight Championship is about to heat up, Sumio won in decisive fashion, and he will now face off a extremely Game Karls Rowdy, who have knocked out some of the top talent in the world. Can Sumio break the trend?
Notorious is going for a much bigger prize - the IWGP Intercontinental Championship, a literal match of the year candidate against Alex Colon, and he will face off against the champion - Killer Cross, who had a hell of a TIME keeping Seth Rollins down, until he used Cross Jacket. This will be a classic, both power wrestlers, one gets them from the air and the other gets them to the ground. The Vanishing, however, needs to start getting wins for the Tag Team.
