News from Around the Wrestling World (March 18th, 2020)

A recent event has catapulted several wrestlers into positions of high rank, and they are being considered for number contendership for multiple titles.

It seemed that The Vanishing had the match won, the better examples of what Tag Team wrestling can accomplish, but Reno Scum, a Tag Team that is always a outsiders threat and a outsiders chance to win the Impact World Tag Team Titles, were able to spoil the return of the great Tag Team, but not without certain issues.

The video shows that Juan Gordy's left hand was beyond the ropes when Luster The Legend turned him over for the Texas Cloverleaf, which should have forced the referee to call the break and force the move to be released. However, it also seems that due to Management's rules, it has to be a Hand/Body Part (Usually the Head) for the referee to call the break and force the release.

Despite all of this, it was obviously the best match Reno Scum has had in many years and some have stated they should have the number one contendership shot for the world tag team titles after the G1 Supercard event March 25. They may have an argument - they have only lost one match in the last several matches they been showcased and it is apparent that they can surprise even the best teams.

As for The Vanishing, they will face off the Gunn Club on March 23rd. Management has not changed there stance on the matter concerning the match - a promising return leaves a lot desired, but if they can get over the Gunn Club, there are good things ahead.

As for the rest of the event, BBG's lead Tag Team won in impressive fashion. IWGP JR Champion Ronny Aswe changed aspects of his move set in order to prepare for his match against Leo Pascal for the Championship in 7 days. Management will then ask the promotions to figure out by rank or by match who will be the three men that will fight for the title in the future. But both Dark Heart and Dark Black Man has stated they want the IWGP JR Tag Team titles... Imperium looked unbeatable and seem ready to go after the never or swa 6 man championships. Kushida and Bailey Williams looked impressive, but Ku could have done better in finishing the match. Alex Hammerstone looks much better in his return match and is already looking to be a US Championship and possible World Heavyweight contendership, but Krugger is another matter entirely

Major News From The Woman's Division

A recent event has catapulted several wrestlers into positions of high rank, and they are being considered for number contendership for multiple titles. Thunder Rosa was not in the championship picture for the woman's world championship but she is now in high consideration. Britt Baker is also has been stated as a choice, however the wait will be long for each of these women to have a chance to get these championships. With AEW's successful turn around of the womans division, it is hoped that more matches such as those that have taken place and that there will even be greater successes for the division.

In other matches - The Woman's League for the Number One Contendership continues with three matches that did not air. They were as follows, Dark Sailor Soldier whipped Yuuki in 8:49 with the rana pin. In what many say was a great match and a test of wills, Rukia defeated Anjo in 14:19 with the Running Shoulder Tackle. And Deeb beats Banks in 21:26 with a top rope elbow in a already candidate for best woman's match of the year.
